Our bilingual nursery school Joki Sendling
Overview (Opening probably 2019)
Our day-care centre is on the ground floor of a new residential complex inspired by the Jungendstil. All rooms are modern, bright, with a warm parquet floor and designed with the latest know-how in childhood education. There is a big multi-purpose room which we use as gymnasium, for dance and parties. The bright play hall offers a direct access to the garden.
The big garden with beautiful mature trees is used exclusively by us. Here you will find various play equipment, a long bobbycar route and a big water playground. On our outings we can explore the Isar, Flaucher and the nearby zoo.
Bilingual care from the beginning: Alongside our German speaking teachers, each group will normally have an English speaking carer who will introduce the children to their language and culture through fun and games. Using the Immersion method, our native speakers speak with the children solely in their mother tongue. The aim is not to teach the children a language in a school-like way, but rather that they should come into contact with a foreign language, songs and games.
Our own cook receives special training about the nutritional needs of young children. She prepares all meals fresh each day and appropriate for the age of the children. Therefore, it is not necessary to bring any snacks to the nursery. The menu can be adjusted for children with allergies.
Our day-care centre is close to Joki Forstenried and Joki Harlaching. It goes without saying that the crèche children at Sendling, Forstenried and Harlaching have priority in receiving a kindergarten place here, so that the children experience the whole of their pre-school care in the same nursery and with the same values. And also friendships with other children, parents and carers can develop wonderfully.
Pre-registrations are possible as of fall 2018.
Joki has an exceptionally high staff to child ratio. In our group 3-4 carers look after 12 children between the ages of six months up until the end of their third year.

Through this the intercultural competence of the children is encouraged, which prepares them for a globalised world. Additionally their brains will be trained according to well-founded scientific findings without any pressure of a particularly intensive form. A high mental flexibility results all the more, the earlier and more consistently the child finds itself in a multilingual environment. You can find further information at www.fmks-online.de.
