Our bilingual nursery school Joki Obermenzing
Joki Obermenzing can be found in a quiet residential area close to the castle canal. The nice, designer house was built exactly to our specifications.
The rooms of our bilingual crèche (German/English) on the ground floor are bright, spacious and furnished to a high standard. Each group has its own room and a separate sleeping room which can also be used for other activities. In the cellar there is also a large multi-purpose room which we use for dance and movement games, parties or simply to run around in. Apart from two crèches there is also a kindergarten group.
The lovely garden with various play equipment and sand pits is used exclusively by us. The children can make lots of discoveries about nature in this 500 square metre plot. On our outings we can explore the nearby views, the area around the castle canal and the nearby park of Nymphenburg Castle.
Bilingual care from the beginning: Alongside our German speaking carers, each group will normally have an English speaking carer who will introduce the children to their language and culture through fun and games. Using the Immersion method, our native speakers speak with the children solely in their mother tongue. The aim is not to teach the children a language in a school-like way, but rather that they should come into contact with a foreign language, songs and games.
Our own cook receives special intensive training about the nutritional needs of young children. She prepares all meals fresh each day and appropriate for the age of the children. Therefore, it is not necessary to bring any snacks to the nursery. The menu can be adjusted for children with allergies.
It goes without saying that the crèche children at Obermenzing have priority in receiving a kindergarten place here, so that the children experience the whole of their pre-school care in the same nursery and with the same values. And also friendships with other children, parents and carers can develop wonderfully.
You can register for our creche here.
Joki has an exceptionally high staff to child ratio. In each group 3-4 carers look after 12 children between the ages of six months up until the end of their third year.
Alongside our German speaking teachers, normally an English speaking carer introduces the children to their language and culture through fun and games. Through this the intercultural competence of the children is encouraged, which prepares them for a globalised world. Additionally their brains will be trained according to well-founded scientific findings without any pressure of a particularly intensive form. A high mental flexibility results all the more, the earlier and more consistently the child finds itself in a multilingual environment. You can find further information at www.fmks-online.de.

The freshly prepared meals are simply wonderful. Our son tells us what lovely things to eat there were every evening and we have already cooked a few of the dishes at home. Thank you to Joki for the recipes.”
